Welcome to English with Marissa
Here my goal is to help you learn English in a practical way. I understand that you live a busy life with hobbies, friends, family and work. I offer 30min and 1 hour classes to fit your schedule. I want you to feel comfortable in class and have a space where you can speak to a friendly teacher.
We currently offer conversation classes and more in depth classes for ESL. ELA tutoring is available for students in 3rd grade through high school age.
Currently our services are for ages 10 and up, with an English level of A2 or higher.

Our Services
Formal English Lessons
This is a lesson using Linguahouse curriculum. These lessons can be business English, general English, Test preparation course, or specific topics such as medicine, law, science. You will receive a PDF file of the lesson material after class to continue practicing at home. Meets on Zoom, Skype or Google classroom.
Conversation Class
Best for levels B1 and above, who would like to practice speaking with a native speaker. This class is very casual and gives you the opportunity to practice your English. We can chat about your life and hobbies or we can discuss an article and some simple vocabulary. These are my favorite classes! Meets on Zoom, Skype or Google classroom.
English Language Arts Tutoring
During a tutoring session we will work on concepts from your class at school or homework and study questions that you may have. Reading and paper writing support is also available. Meets on Zoom, Skype, or Google classroom.
